Twilight Loot

Here I was minding my own business at my homie's house... when we were bored witless with SoapNet programing (The OC, 90921, One Tree Hill) so we flip through the channels to see what we can find and what else just so happens to be on Cable... Twilight marathon. We caught the last 40-ish minutes of Twilight and we've now started on New Moon (maybe we'll make it through Eclipse... time will tell). I was just running out of peeps to talk to on the interwebs when I googled "twilight onsies" (for a friend's babe... obviously). Which of course lead me to tons of Twilight loot via CafePress (duh). There is some REALLLLY hilarious options out there people.

Chillin'

I hate reading the "I'm sorry, I haven't been blogging" posts too... too bad this is one of those. I'm feeling random and uninteresting. I can't seem to focus on one thing long enough to get my thoughts together and form an entire post. The hubs and I got our R&R plans worked out a lil' better. Which helps. I'm still working. Still learning.
Speaking of learning. I was never really driven to "be" anything in particular. I wanted to "do" something that would be practical for my lifestyle, that I would completely loath 100% of the time and that would have the potential to earn money. I knew that being a stay at home mom and wife (SAHM) wasn't going to work. Unfortunately I'm not getting my education in a particular vocation. I've never cared much for nursing or something equally specific. My drive to get my degree comes from wanting, generally to be employed, and higher education seems more and more a necessity. I've had two people that they think I should "be" a writer/editor. I automatically think novels and fiction when I hear "writer". I said "no no I can't do that!" I really don't think I'm creative enough to write anything people would actually want to read. I'd never in a million years think up a world where Vampires sparkle in the sunlight and are not vicious for fun ::Cough cough::... I've been pondering it for a little while and I'm starting to really consider the editing idea though. I'll have to research it a bit and see how I can make it work with the military but I know I can "do" and "be" anything I put my mind to. I'm kind of excited about the idea. We'll see where it goes and how I can manage it.

In other than being inspired by my closest friends I've been busy doing average things, to include: spending time with my family, paying off debt, talking my husband out of cars we cannot yet afford, and dreaming of not absolutely hating buying a swim suit.

Coming up... more of the same. Plus a lil' girl's 2nd b-day party for this weekend. I'm excited, I've only had her gifts for about 2 weeks. I hope she loves them!

The one about Eclipse

Are you a Twilight-geek like me and my friends?

If you haven't noticed June 30th is only 22 days, 17 hours, 18 minutes and 10, 9, 8 seconds away.
(per the countdown to the left of this post)

Are you excited, like me?

Do you have plans to go see the movie?

Have you seen this:
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OvQk15mK9Kc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OvQk15mK9Kc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

(it's supposed to be embedded in the text, if not go here.)

I have been contemplating going to this:
for just $21.
And you can't write me off for being a complete and total loser, dork geek because a friend of mine whom you all (basically all) pretty much know wants to go with me! So there!
Before you suggest that we're both just loser, dorks geeks I know that isn't possible. Because she's way cooler than me and if she wants to do it than so can I!

Thats all I have to say about that...

Start my first day of work tomorrow!
fingers crossed for that!

Love the rain... hate the wet dog smell!

**So the first time I posted the link to Eclipse it was to the first/old trailer. I fixed it for all of you! ENJOY.**

I've been down in the dumps lately.
You know sometimes life is just kinda hard. Well... today I decided that instead of getting up and turning on the TV I was gonna read.
Here's what I read:
Rev Run's Words of Wisdom.

Have you read it? I love it.
(just occurred to me I should use it as a giveaway but I've marked it all up with pen... oops shoulda thought ahead)

Rev Run helped me start my day off in a positive way with a positive attitude and corny as it may be positivity came back to me!! Things have been coming to head in a lot of areas lately: job, unemployment benefits running out, money, weight loss... you name it the list goes on and on. So today I spent a few hours with my friend "LB", had a grilled cheese sandwhich  and tomato soup for lunch. Oh and I can't forget my quality time with precious baby Hannah!
Anywho, I come home and watch some Oprah. Which just made my friggin month with the new Twilight: Eclipse Trailer! Check it out here Twihards!
(yes I just said "Twihards". Move on.)
And it just got better from there!
I received a phone call about 15 minutes ago and I have an INTERVIEW on Monday!!
BOOP BOOP!

Start your day off right people; it sets the tone for what follows!

Changes???

What's that you see?
To the Left?
Well... that's just what it looks like: an Eclipse countdown. Yea... on MY blog.
I'm dorky and possibly overly obsessed with all things RPattz Twilight.
At least I know I'm not alone.

So because I know someone is going to do it anyway,
(and not because I did or anything)
this is specifically your invitation to steal the countdown for your very own blog! =)

*~~~*
Moving on to bigger and more important news:
Kev left for 22ish days down at JRTC.
HOW RUDE!
(gotta love the Full House reference)
Can you believe he just up and left me all by my lonesome?
Boo...

Ok I'm over it now. Not much he could do about it. Gotta go when and where they tell you to right?
No sense in getting all bent out of shape about it.
Plus my mommy taught me, when I was little to choose my battles wisely.
This isn't one worth waging, in any kind of way, at all.
So I'll try to make peace with sleeping alone (for the birds- by the way), eating alone (maybe I'll make Nikki eat with me... hmm) and spending more time with my friends. Funny how those husbands can monopolize your time isn't it?
All the same, here's to MAKIN' THE BEST OF WHAT YOU GOT!
=)
happy tuesday!

Give-a-way's Galore!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... everyone loves free shit stuff.
Somehow I never seem to win any of these bloggy-Give-a-ways. :( What's up with that?
No worries... I'm not bitter or anything..
*Sigh*

My bud over at The Getts Times is hosting a bloggy-make-over-give-a-way.
and
Our Guamazing Adventure also has a give-a-way going down.

I guess Spring is making folks feel generous. Well spread it this way I love free shit stuff.

Beyond that... I'm having a bit of an issue peeps.
So lemme know what you think!
And this is very serious so don't go acting all silly... crackin' jokes and such.
Because we all know Rpatz/Twilight/New Moon is serious business right?
Well I told everyone yesterday about how my newly purchased BluRay of New Moon doesn't work on my downstairs/living room, much newer/nicer BluRay player. But it does work upstairs on my older/junky BluRay player. So here's my issue.. problem... conundrum... bugaboo...predicament... QUANDARY:
Do I return it or no?
Seriously... it works on one player but not the other?
it's very confusing.
=(

I Want it Wednesday...

I gotta say I love that I started this I Want it Wednesday... one of the best things I've come up with since I started blogging! :)

Anywhozle...

I want.... to share this great and extremely helpful article with you all about this Healthcare Reform business.

I want...
I think the hubs and I have decided to say farewell to Verizon and get on the iphone bandwagon.

I want...
yea, I still want this... I know you're complaining and wishing I'd just stop yammering on and on about it and just go get one already. Well, I'll have to start saving my pennies because my HP is about to take a dirt nap. :(

I desperately want... my NEW MOON Bluray to work in our living room! :( for some reason it wouldn't work on the newer Samsung Aquos Bluray player but it worked upstairs on an older Memorex player.. odd. :(
OOO... that leads me to a horribly embarrassing funny story about the hubby! So New Moon was released on Saturday right? Well, I knew that I'd wind up buying it eventually but I really wasn't in a huge hurry; wasn't going to make a special trip out for it- certainly wasn't going to wait in line at mid-night for it. Kev and I spent most of Sunday with at my sisters with family, playing with the new baby. When we left Kevin INSISTS on going to the Wal-mart to pick up New Moon. I said alright, lets see if they have it on Blu-ray because the one closest to our house didn't have it. :( Surprise, Surprise... Wally-world didn't have it on the Bluray and said that they didn't even have any in their warehouse... OMG! So we proceed to 1 Target and Sears when neither of those had it either we hit up Borders as a last-ditch effort and Borders did finally have it! :) Gotta love Borders (especially since they sponsored my give-away in January for a Sony E-reader)!
The funny part being, I just wanted to go home after leaving my sisters but Kevin just had to find the movie.
Yeah, men like The Twilight Saga too!
lol.
Curious... what makes it a "saga" versus a series?

Anywho... Happy Wednesday all.

Such a busy life i lead

See updates: I finally pried Kev's computer from his hands so that I can blog/edit. :)

First; my laptop is screwed 8 ways from Sunday. Within 1 minute of turning it on I have countless virus warnings informing me that my computer is infected with this Trojan or that virus. It's bad.S o right now I'm updating from my Blackberry.
I've had quite the hectic week: getting situated at the job, acclimating to the schedule, ect. Friday I go into the office and they tell me that the girl who had given notice and was going to quit has changed her mind. Old girl was staying so I was out on my keester. Within minutes of being axed (from a job too far from home anyway, staffed by the oddest bunch of weirdos on the planet) I find out Kevin passed his flight physical and is fit for flight!!!!! Such a bitter sweet day. I'm so happy and proud for Kevin!
After that we hit New Moon at 1030 AM on Saturday morning. Here I was thinking I was smarter than the average bear; "we'll go Saturday AM beause its Saturday, no one will be awake and functioning for the 1st showing of the day and its a way better idea than attenpting to go Friday night" I said. Ppshhhh! Imagine my surprise pulling up to the theater at 930AM (on a Saturday) and found a line of oh, 100 people!!!! Waiting to get into the teather theater lobby then make their way to the correct theater and find a seat. It was craziness. I've never seen such a thing before! It was hilarious. I thought it was overkill that I was there an hour early. Evidently, not early enough! All the same we followed the hoards of tweens into the theater and settled in for New Moon.
I was thoroughly excited to see it but somehow the theater full of over-the-top giggy giddy teen-age girls ruined the experience for me. They were slightly too cheesy for my liking. I mean, really they applauded the movie when the Summit logo appeared on screen. UGH! Gag. The squeeling squealing girls aside I did enjoy the movie. I don't know about you but I'm glad they got rid of the first director and her blue screen. New Moon was much easier to look at! :)
Ok, so far: I got fired, killed my computer, found out Kevin is physically able to fly and joined 100's of horny-tweens to swoon over fictional vampires and werewolves.

Next; pre-thanksgiving, Thanksgiving dinner at my Dads. On Thursday I'll be at Mile High Stadium watching the Giants battle the Broncos with my dad, his GF and the Hubs. Yea, look for me. I'll be the one freezing my sweet-lil ass off in the nose-bleeds! Wooop woop! Sounds like Thanksgiving to me!! I'm excited. T-day is one of the biggest football days of the year and I'll be there with my 2 favorite men!
So, today we had turkey and all the trimmings at my father's. It was yummmy! I'm stoke about open-faced sandwhiches sandwiches as left-overs tomorrow.

Alright, I'm getting the carpol-tunnel from this lil keyboard. I have to rest up to ensure I get everything accomplished this coming (short) week that built up while I was working. Ha! The workin' man's a sucker!" at least that's what they taught me in A Bronx Tale. ;)

Caio Ciao now, brown cow!

~~~
Welcome Fox Family!!! I'll never mind that you stalk me read my blog for hours on end! ;) Seriously, that's why I write my non-sensical ramblings down, for other's to read and giggle at! Email me I'm curious about where you live, what unit your hubs is in, stalking you, ect... :)
LB- You are SOOO right! Tomorrow I have a ton to do but Tuesday I wanna come see Miss Hannah!! :)
Beep, Beep... Back the Truck Up!
As previously stated I've been M.I.A. lately and there's been a TON going on. Such as:
Veteran's Day with my soldier. Kevin and I watched Taking Chance together. He didn't seem overly touched by it on any level but it touched me, deeply. I felt so lucky to have my husband and soldier home safe and unscaved. I know that I am truly blessed to have him return home to me. On the other hand I did very much miss Levi. We do every day.
Happy Veteran's Day to all our Vet's out there.
~***~
Tomorrow I start my new job! Yes, that's right all after a year of being unemployed a great opportunity has come my way! I am so grateful and excited to start this new position. It's a job that I'm familiar with; a skill that I have and if the company likes me it will be a very nice pay raise. So wish me luck! After I attend Traffic court tomorrow morning I will have half-a-day at my new job!! :)
PS: Traffic Court SUCKS!
~***~
Today is the final chapter of my relationship with Qwest. They suck. I'll be moving on. ASAP.
~***~
My sister can feel the baby move on the outside of her belly now. Nathan felt her move last night and was SOOO excited!
~***~
My BFF is PREGNANT! Yup, she's about 8 weeks along now. Due in July! Yes, you guessed it everyone around me is pregnant... but me of course.
~***~
Kevin and I have been talking a lot about what comes next for us. What we want to do next and where we want to be. Kevin and I agreed that we would both love to be stationed in Germany. We think it would be a great adventure for us. But we are still kind of in a holding pattern with Kevin's Warrant Officer application process. He has completed the Flight Physical and we are waiting for word back on that; whether or not he is "fit for flight". Fingers crossed!!!
~***~
Thankfully, I think that's all I had to catch people up on. No no... I do have to mention the release of New Moon next Friday. We are a whopping 8 days away! Yeah, I'm a loser... and I've definitely made peace with that.
;)
I'm a dork!
I can't believe I forgot to mention this... maybe that's what being up shortly after 5 AM does to a girl!
I'm a loser. I've admitted this before. All the same, I'm sure I'm not the only one who got entirely {for a grown-up} too excited for/about/over the New Moon trailer! Yeah, my husband has always known I was a dork, but now he has the proof! :)
November can't come fast enough.
HA HA, Hee HAAAA!
