Are you protective over names that you have picked out for your future spawn*?
Where you protective over the names you picked out while you were prego??
Well, I have a short story to share with everyone:
Last night I found out a girl I was semi-friends with in High School is pregnant with Twins. She asked for name suggestions, and since this is one of my semi-new favorite past-times I sent a few options. Names I like but are a bit further down on my list. I would never share my first choice names with random folks. Because, well, I'm protective over them! It rather tweaked my melon when one of her other FB homies suggested both my first choice names for boys and girls!
Here's hoping she didn't like either of them...
And hoping her other FB homie stubs her toe today!
Because, Karma is real.
(hahaa, laugh people it's a joke).
Happy Sunday!
*just a friendly reminder, I sometimes refer to children/babies as "spawn"... but as always it's meant with love and adoration.

haha, here's to calling our future offspring spawn! :) I'm right there with you on that one!
haha I'm definitely protective over my baby names! After TTC for nearly 4 years, hubby and I have lots of time to think about them. Found out 2 days ago we're expecting baby #2! First question.... have you thought about names? lol I'll never tell!!!
Haha definitely made me giggle which is necessary today! I have always been open about favourite baby names so I would be veryyyy mad if someone tried to beat me to it with them!
It's okay...according to the census bureau, she'll probably just name her spawn either Jacob or Bella. You got nothin' to worry about! =)
Haha we refer to children as devils!
I know what your favorite name is MUAHAHAHA. Totally naming my next kid that name, no matter what sex.
Oh yes! My mother is even worse! Wont tell anyone my girl names picked out. My family is a little nuts about names in general though. They believe that the name you give a child will define who they are as adults. So I will have to pick names wisely!
My aunt is 40 and had a baby girl in Feb. They had one girl name picked out but my uncle refused to use it for the "fetus" until she was born because he loved the name so much that he didnt want to have a miscarriage to set the tone for the name. And at 40 years old, that was a concern for the whole family.
But my two cents about names, PLEASE name your kids something they can find on a pencil when they are in elementary school. I worked in a school distrct and now there are kids with the oddest names, Spring, Sky, Chaos, Precious, Sincere, Raven. Name your children something REAL!! We used to laugh about the odd names.
Ha, yes i am protective. But only after I told my brother in law (who had gotten his gf of 3 weeks, pregnant) the names we had picked out and they immediately picked our girl name. After a big fight they finally picked something else. Never again. lol
i am for sure! i told my mom the name we picked if this baby is a girl and she immediately had something to say. that i didnt appreciate... so no one else will be informed.
My hubby and I picked out our names months before we were even prego! hehe And we swore we'd keep them a secret, but I blabbed, I was too excited! And now that I'm pregnant we're going with our girl name. BUT I'm being weird about it. As in, I asked that they not use her name on the Baby Shower invites - it's like I want to keep her all to myself until she makes her grand entrance in September - THEN it'll be ok. Must be the hormones haha
Haha, I'm pretty protective of the names I'd like to one day use. Here's to hoping she doesn't use yours.
Yes! I didn't use to be so protective but right before I found out I was pregnant this girl I knew told me she was naming her son my first choice favorite boy name. And she paired it with a middle name that sucked. I was furious. So after that I decided not to give people any names from our list.
Now though we don't plan to have anymore so its not so much of an issue :P
